Broch Community Field and Car Park

The Broch Field

The Broch Field is Strathyre's main community space, our 'village green' and public Car Park. It is a great place for locals and visitors to enjoy. A lovely green space, fringed with mature trees, with picnic benches and parking on three sides. The NR7 Cycle Route skirts along the western edge of the site, and the Broch Cafe provides a great coffee and cake in the southeast corner.

The site was purchased by BLS Community Trust for the community in 2022, and we aim to make a great place for all to enjoy. So come along for a picnic, a cycle, explore our wonderful woods and hills, play with friends, or even just come and chill.

Please be aware that the gate will be closed every night at 8pm and reopened at 8am. So please move your vehicles before this time. There are a small number of 24hr spaces available towards the entrance of the site.

The BLS Community Trust does not take responsibility for any vehicles left on the site.

Donate!

The Broch Field costs c£6,000 per year for the community to manage and maintain and this is all paid for by donations, grants and a little income. Developments:

The BLS Community Trust are looking to improve the Broch Field for visitors and locals, without losing its natural beauty. We plan to improve the parking on offer by upgrading the surfaces, install recycling and waste bins, and build public toilets. We hope this will help reduce the impact of increased litter and waste our community has faced over the past few years.
